My passion and purpose is for you and your teen to know you are not alone. It might feel like no one else understands, maybe you feel that you are different, weird, and just don’t fit in I provide a place where you can feel accepted for who you are. I know you are doing the best you can and you can learn skills to do it even better and make positive changes to make your life even better.
I do my best work with anxious teens and adults who feel their worry is uncontrollable, who may experience panic attacks, avoid social situations due to fear. I can help you to learn how to mute your inner critic/worry voice by teaching you strategies to overcome anxiety, avoidance, manage stress and overwhelm. Depression often comes at the heels of anxiety and is often a focus of treatment. It is important to know that you don’t have to go through life feeling sad and alone. Improving mood, increasing self esteem and compassion, and improving important relationships in your life is possible.
My goal is for you is to accept where you are now and gain support and skills so that you can feel better. You can make lasting changes in your life to improve your mood, relationships, ability to regulate emotions, and make healthier choices. You can learn how manage the inevitable ups and downs in life without causing additional suffering.
